The objective of LoRa (LoRaWAN) and Sigfox technologies is to enable the creation of a vast network for connected objects, making it possible to reduce costs as well as the electricity consumption of the devices connecting to it.

SIGFOX has been the darling of the French “high tech” community since its €100M fundraising in 2015.
LoRa technology comes from a Grenoble start-up (Cycleo now Semtech).
An alliance has been created around this technology and brings together big names in the industry (Orange, Bouygues, SAGEMCOM, etc.).
Unlike SIGFOX, the technology is open which allows you to find free components (LoRaWAN servers).
