hawkBit

The Eclipse Foundation's hawkBit project is a generic solution for deploying firmware updates in the context of IoT.

Whether for the connected objects themselves or for more complex systems and Internet of Things gateways, hawkBit presents itself as the benchmark backend solution.
The connection of the different objects to the hawkBit solution can be done either directly using optimized interfaces, or indirectly through device management servers, depending on the chosen architecture.

Smile & Eclipse hawkBit

With the expansion of the Internet of Things, the number of connected intelligent systems is constantly increasing. Depending on their application, these objects can be very numerous and beyond our reach. Deploying updates can therefore become a real challenge in terms of time and costs. However, the deployment of updates becomes essential to any embedded system, whether to add new features, correct bugs or security vulnerabilities.

The Eclipse Foundation's hawkBit project provides a solution that aims to be universal in the sense that updates can be carried out remotely (OTA - Over The Air) or with physical access, regardless of the device management system used. . And even if the systems concerned mainly include Linux, this is absolutely not a prerequisite.

Based on our experience, we will be able to support you in integrating hawkBit into your embedded systems as well as at the server level.
