Design a connected box and an IoT platform to manage a fleet of equipment
Newloc, a subsidiary of the Dubreuil Group, manages a fleet of 8,000 rental equipment on the West. Newloc has implemented a program to improve the management of this park.
The challenge ? Facilitate the management & monitoring of a fleet of equipment, offer new services to customers and stand out from the competition.
This program allows Newloc to collect information in order to maintain and track its equipment, efficiently organize material recovery, regulate its use and detect theft.

A tailor-made solution for any event
The boxes collect data in real time: voltages, positions, hours and operating states, temperatures, alerts, etc. They are robust and autonomous in case of power failure.
The major challenge of the project was in the great diversity of the park.The housings had to be versatile and collect data independently of the machine architecture.
A unique algorithmhas been designed to detect the phases of use whatever the type of material.
The volume of data is shared and reassembled on a cloud platform that exposes Newloc a set of interfaces to consult.

The concept of algorithm (identi fi cation on / off battery voltage) was for us very important, because it allowed us on many ranges to significantly reduce the installation time on our fleet, and reduce the costs of these facilities by our technicians. Finally, the data collected and stored allow us today to consider many other applications in terms of logistics, technical (predictive maintenance) ".
