SMILE RENEWS AND AFFIRMS ITS COMMITMENT TO THE FEMMES@DIGITAL FOUNDATION

International Women’s Rights Day 2023: Since its creation in 2018, Smile has been supporting the Fondation Femmes@Numérique, whose goal is to promote women’s place in the digital sector in France. In 2023, Smile renewed its commitment to the Foundation.

Since its creation in 2018, Smile has expressed its support for the French Fondation Femmes@Numérique, whose goal is to promote the place of women in the digital sector. In 2023, Smile renewed its commitment to the Foundation.

What is the Fondation Femmes@Numérique?

Created in 2018, it is a Foundation supported by the State under the aegis of the Fondation de France. The Fermmes@Numérique Foundation has mobilized the commitment of 42 founding companies of which Smile is a member. Its objective is to work towards the feminization of the digital sectors and professions.

An assessment of the last five years?

Thanks to the support of all the signatories to the convention of which Smile is a member, 10 major projects have been launched to raise awareness of the digital professions:

-6 projects in partnership with the Ministry of National Education that have targeted the key stages of girls' choices in their school careers. An assessment of 30,000 girls sensitized in the territory.

-4 ongoing projects on the orientation of young women towards training and the digital professions.

On the other hand, these 5 years have made it possible to constitute a directory gathering more than 1,800 professionals of the digital to give voice to this commitment, but also to the contribution to the elaboration of the decree of the law Rixain-Castaner in favor of advancing the place of women in digital.

And after?

The lack of female talent in the digital professions remains acute. Today, only 7% of young girls plan to use technology compared to 29% of boys. More than ever, the support of each signatory is necessary to continue to act and amplify our actions for a better representation of female talent in the digital sector.
